EUR/GBP trades around 0.8530 after ECB decision
The European Central Bank left its key interest rates unchanged, with the deposit facility rate at 2.25%, main refinancing operations rate at 2.40%, and marginal lending facility rate at 2.65%.
The ECB had delivered a 25-basis-point hike in June and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring inflation stabilises at the 2% medium-term target.
The Euro trades under pressure against the British Pound as traders assess the ECB’s latest monetary policy announcement, with EUR/GBP hitting an intraday high of 0.8544, its highest level in more than a week.
