Alphabet’s shares dropped 5.4% after its latest earnings report, contributing to the broader tech selloff. Futures declines followed a volatile session in global markets, with geopolitical tensions in the Middle East adding to investor caution.

US Central Command confirmed vigilance amid reports of military activity, while Iran’s foreign minister stated intermediaries were active but criticized Washington’s demands as unreasonable.
