Matador Resources (MTDR) will purchase Paloma Permian, a portfolio company of EnCap Investments, for $1.275 billion in cash. The acquisition adds 16,235 net undeveloped acres in southeast New Mexico and an estimated 11.1K barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/day) in Q3 production.
The transaction includes approximately 156 identified drilling locations, enhancing Matador’s operational scale in the Permian Basin. Paloma Permian’s assets align with Matador’s existing core positions, reinforcing its long-term development strategy.
