Texas Instruments surpasses Wall Street estimates for Q2 earnings but sees a slight decline in after-hours trading.

Texas Instruments reported adjusted second-quarter earnings of $2.14 per share, exceeding Wall Street expectations. The analog chipmaker’s results for the period ending June 30 topped analyst estimates, yet shares fell 1.1% in extended trading on Wednesday.

Analysts had anticipated lower earnings, with consensus forecasts below the reported $2.14 per share. The company’s guidance for the quarter also outperformed expectations, though the market reaction remained muted.

Despite the earnings beat, the modest decline in after-hours trading suggests investor caution or profit-taking following the release.
