Teledyne Technologies reports historic quarterly results and lifts full-year revenue and earnings forecasts on strong backlog execution.
Teledyne Technologies reported record second-quarter orders, sales, and operating profit, driven by growth in defense and commercial markets. Sales rose 9.8% year-over-year, while non-GAAP earnings increased 20.8%, with orders exceeding sales for the 11th straight quarter. The company ended June with a $5 billion funded backlog.
The company raised its 2026 revenue outlook by $120 million, now expecting a near-7% increase to over $6.53 billion. Non-GAAP earnings guidance was also lifted by $0.55 per share at the midpoint, citing stronger organic growth. Digital Imaging and vertically integrated platforms contributed to the performance.
Executive Chairman Robert Mehrabian attributed the results to strong backlog execution built over nearly three years, highlighting the breadth of Teledyne’s portfolio across multiple markets.
