European equities extended gains for a third consecutive session, with the FTSE 100 and FTSE MIB leading advances. The CAC 40 and Germany’s EU40 also posted solid gains, reflecting broad-based investor confidence amid ongoing risk-on sentiment.
Spain’s IBEX 35 rose 0.99% to 19,571.30, while Italy’s FTSE MIB climbed 0.97% to 52,792.03. France’s CAC 40 added 0.89% to 8,437.90, and Germany’s EU40 gained 0.58% to 25,155.42. The UK’s FTSE 100 outperformed with a 1.24% rise to 10,716.98.
US markets followed suit but with more modest gains, as the Dow Jones rose 0.32% and the S&P 500 edged up 0.19%. The NASDAQ Composite saw minimal movement, while the Russell 2000 lagged, declining 0.64%.
