UK-based renewable energy firm obtains €170m in financing to accelerate growth and acquisitions across Europe.
AMPYR Distributed Energy (ADE) has closed a €170m ($194m) debt financing deal with Crédit Agricole CIB and Franklin Templeton’s Benefit Street Partners. The funds will support the expansion of its distributed renewable energy assets and strategic acquisitions in Europe.
The financing follows ADE’s recent purchase of a 70MW portfolio from TotalEnergies, reinforcing its position in the sector. The company develops and operates on-site renewable infrastructure for commercial and industrial clients under long-term power purchase agreements.
ADE CEO John Behan stated the funding reflects investor confidence in its growth strategy. Demand for on-site energy solutions is rising as businesses seek cost control and resilience.
