General Motors (GM) has lifted its full-year 2026 earnings guidance for the second time this year, following second quarter results that showed revenue of $48.02bn.
The US automaker posted net income attributable to stockholders of $1.30bn for the three months to 30 June 2026, a fall of 31.1% on the same period last year
Revenue climbed 1.9% year-on-year, while adjusted EBIT grew 29.8% to $3.94bn, pushing the adjusted EBIT margin up to 8.2% from 6.4%. Diluted EPS dropped 26% to $1.41, whereas adjusted diluted EPS advanced 41.3% to $3.57. Looking at performance by segment, GM North America delivered a 42.7% rise in adjusted EBIT to $3.4bn.
GM International’s adjusted EBIT slipped 6.6% to $190m, while equity income from China increased 16.9% to $83m. GM Financial’s adjusted earnings before tax fell 14% to $605m. Over the first six months of 2026, revenue reached $91.65bn, up 0.6%, though net income attributable to stockholders declined 16% to $3.93bn.
