Spot gold rises to $4,114 an ounce
Spot gold rose circa 0.9% to around $4,114 an ounce, its highest since July 10, driven mainly by technical buying.
The increase in gold price is also attributed to investors positioning ahead of next week’s Federal Reserve meeting.
US gold futures jumped roughly 1% to around $4,119, while oil climbed more than 1% to trade near its highest level in around six weeks.
