The US Central Command conducted its 11th consecutive night of strikes against Iranian military infrastructure, including drone storage and maritime capabilities. The operations target facilities linked to attacks on over 30 commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz over the past three months.
Iran’s actions have endangered hundreds of mariners and disrupted navigation in the critical waterway, which remains open to shipping. CENTCOM highlighted the transit of numerous vessels and oil barrels since early May, underscoring the strait’s importance to global trade.
Crude oil prices edged higher following the news, with West Texas Intermediate rising 1.10% to $85.13.
