Hasbro raised guidance after Q2 revenue from Magic: The Gathering surged 32% year-over-year to a record $500 million.
Hasbro shares rose 10.1% after the company reported a 32% year-over-year increase in revenue from its Magic: The Gathering franchise, reaching $500 million in Q2. The milestone marks the first time the 30-year-old game has surpassed that threshold in a single quarter, driven by expansion releases like Marvel Super Heroes and Secrets of Strixhaven.
The Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming segment outperformed other divisions, including Monopoly Go!, which contributed $44 million in revenue. Management responded by raising full-year revenue, adjusted operating income, and profit guidance, citing the franchise’s growth potential.
Hasbro also highlighted its income appeal, with the stock yielding over 3% even after the price jump, alongside share repurchase plans.
