MM Packaging Ibérica’s Spanish facility secured an EcoVadis Platinum rating, placing it among the top 1% of over 150,000 assessed companies globally. The plant scored 94 out of 100 for environmental policy and reduced Scope 3 emissions by 53% from 2019 levels.
EcoVadis evaluates companies across environment, labor rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. MM Packaging Ibérica scored 90 or above in three of four categories, aligning with demands from food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics customers. The rating follows the launch of a plastic-free, fiber-based packaging alternative.
The assessment reflects broader industry trends, with over 1,500 organizations using EcoVadis ratings to guide sustainability performance. The methodology adjusts for sector, country, and company size, ensuring comparability across global supply chains.
