US stock futures climbed on Tuesday, led by a 1.3% surge in Nasdaq-100 contracts as semiconductor stocks regained momentum. Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 futures rose 0.3% and 0.5%, respectively, recovering from Monday’s losses tied to escalating US-Iran tensions.

The chip sector’s rebound followed a 2% gain in South Korea’s KOSPI Composite index, driven by semiconductor strength. Nvidia shares edged higher after the company disclosed a stake in cloud provider Nebius, fueling tech optimism. Investors also weighed new US tariffs on Canadian goods, including 50% levies on beer, milk, and chemicals, set to take effect in 30 days.

Trade policy risks and Middle East hostilities tempered gains, though crude oil imports from Canada were exempted from the tariffs. Markets remain focused on upcoming Big Tech earnings reports this week.
