Benchmark yields rise across the curve, with the 10-year yield reclaiming key moving averages amid persistent inflation worries.
US Treasury yields extended gains across the curve, with the 2-year yield rising 4.5 basis points to 4.216% and the 10-year yield climbing 4.1 basis points to 4.581%. The 5-year and 30-year yields also advanced, up 4.3 and 3.2 basis points, respectively.
The 10-year yield rebounded after dipping to 4.513% on Friday, its lowest since July 7, and moved back above its 100- and 200-hour moving averages. The 2-year yield, meanwhile, surpassed its 100- and 200-hour averages near 4.187%, targeting last week’s high of 4.215%.
Crude oil prices briefly fell to $79.58 on ceasefire speculation but recovered to $81.87, keeping inflation expectations elevated. The dollar strengthened alongside yields, reflecting ongoing concerns over persistent price pressures.
