Circle’s president liquidated $30.77 million in shares amid a 76% plunge from $260, despite defending the firm’s long-term outlook.
Circle President Heath Tarbert sold $30.77 million of CRCL shares in 10 transactions since June 2025, SEC filings show. The sales occurred as the stock fell from around $260 to $62, a 76% decline.
Tarbert defended the stablecoin issuer’s long-term strategy, citing its focus on financial infrastructure. He retains approximately 503,000 shares but made no open-market purchases. The sell-off follows Mizuho’s downgrade to Underperform and a price target cut from $85 to $50.
Wall Street concerns center on margin compression and competition, despite Circle’s growth in the stablecoin market.
