British Business Bank invests €25m in EQT’s €216m fund targeting European medtech and digital health firms.
British Business Bank has committed €25m to EQT Life Sciences’ EQT Health Economics 3 Fund, bringing the total fund size to €216m. The investment targets commercial-stage companies in Europe developing medical technology and digital health solutions, including UK-based Cyted Health and Phagenesis.
The fund, launched in 2024, follows a €15m investment by Dutch promotional bank Invest-NL in October 2025. British Business Bank emphasized its focus on supporting high-potential UK life sciences firms, aligning with the UK’s Industrial Strategy growth areas.
EQT Life Sciences manages over €3.7bn across 13 funds, specializing in medical devices, health tech, and diagnostics. The bank’s investment aims to channel international capital and expertise into UK companies.
