Domino’s Pizza Inc. (NASDAQ:DPZ) posted second-quarter revenue of $1.19 billion, surpassing the $1.18 billion consensus estimate and rising 4.3% from $1.15 billion a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $4.07, missing Wall Street expectations of $4.19 by $0.12.

U.S. same-store sales grew 0.1%, while international same-store sales, excluding currency effects, declined 0.1%. Global retail sales increased 3.0%. The company added a net 209 stores globally, including 26 in the U.S., and operating income rose 3.1% to $232.0 million from $225.0 million.

Shares climbed 4.7% in premarket trading following the release, reflecting investor focus on revenue growth and order count expansion despite earnings disappointment.
