Alipay+, operated by Ant International, has integrated with Argentina’s national QR payment system, Transferencias 3.0, through a partnership with fintech PVS. The move allows international travelers to make QR code payments at participating merchants, including restaurants and tourist sites, using cross-border transactions via Alipay+’s network.

Transferencias 3.0, developed by Argentina’s central bank, is an interoperable instant payment system supporting multiple digital wallets and banking apps. Alipay+ connects over 150 million merchants to more than 50 digital wallets globally. The expansion follows a May 2026 agreement with PVS to roll out mobile payment services in Argentina and Chile.

The integration aims to streamline digital commerce for travelers by leveraging Argentina’s interoperable payment ecosystem. No immediate market reaction was reported.
