The appointments of Katherine Collins and Lori Ryerkerk bring expertise in sustainable investing and large-scale M&A to the board.
International Paper has expanded its board with the appointments of Katherine Collins and Lori Ryerkerk, effective 1 October 2026. Collins, former head of sustainable investing at Putnam Investments, oversaw assets exceeding $10bn and has held senior roles at Fidelity. Ryerkerk, ex-CEO of Celanese, led the $11bn acquisition of DuPont’s Mobility & Materials business and has extensive experience in energy and chemicals.
The additions follow the planned departures of two current directors. Collins and Ryerkerk bring decades of leadership in asset management, sustainability, and industrial operations, aligning with International Paper’s transformation strategy.
CEO Andy Silvernail stated the new directors’ strategic insight will strengthen the board amid ongoing organizational changes. Both appointees currently serve on other corporate boards, including Norfolk Southern and Eaton.
