Advanced Micro Devices posted first-quarter revenue of $10.3 billion, up 38% year-over-year, driven by strong demand for its EPYC server processors and Instinct AI accelerators. Data center revenue climbed 57% to $5.8 billion, while adjusted earnings per share rose 43% to $1.37.
The company’s adjusted gross margin expanded to 55%, up from 54% a year earlier. Free cash flow reached a quarterly record of $2.6 billion. Management guided second-quarter revenue to approximately $11.2 billion, implying 46% year-over-year growth.
AMD’s stock has fallen 15% from its high, contrasting with its accelerating business performance. The PHLX Semiconductor Index remains in a bear market, down over 20% from its June peak.
