ICICI Bank reported a 15.9% year-over-year increase in profit after tax to INR 148.05 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2027. Profit before tax excluding treasury rose 20.9% to INR 189.75 billion, supported by broad-based loan growth and stable margins.
Loans grew 19.6% year over year, led by rural, business banking, and corporate segments, while deposits increased 14%. Asset quality remained steady, with a net NPA ratio of 0.35%, and fee income surged 23.5%, offsetting higher operating expenses.
Management attributed the results to a customer-centric approach and disciplined asset-quality management, signaling confidence in sustained growth.
