Compute Exchange launches a secondary marketplace for used Nvidia GPUs, targeting cost-sensitive AI workloads with H100 and A100 models.
Compute Exchange introduced a secondary marketplace for Nvidia data-center GPUs, expanding its offerings beyond reserved compute capacity. The platform connects buyers and sellers of used and refurbished hardware, including high-demand H100 and A100 models, without taking ownership of the GPUs.
Originally launched in January 2025, Compute Exchange focused on reserved GPU capacity across over 100 providers and forward contracts for future capacity. The new marketplace complements Silicon Data, a sister firm providing real-time GPU pricing, both led by CEO Carmen Li.
The move aims to lower costs for enterprises deploying AI infrastructure, as many workloads do not require the latest GPU generations. Buyers and sellers transact directly after introductions from the platform, which supports procurement and logistics.
