JPMorgan Chase reported a 27% year-over-year revenue increase in Q2, with earnings per share rising to $7.70 from $2.46. Net interest income climbed 10%, and return on tangible common equity hit 29%, reflecting robust performance across investment banking, consumer banking, and M&A activity.

The bank’s results outpaced expectations, driven by a surge in IPOs and market activity. However, CEO Jamie Dimon tempered optimism, stating conditions are “getting close to as good as it gets” but warned the duration of this strength remains uncertain.

Dimon acknowledged potential for further improvement but declined to speculate on magnitude, emphasizing the unpredictability of market cycles.
