Swedish construction firm Skanska posts Q2 EPS of SEK 4.27, up from SEK 3.69, driven by a 23% quarterly increase in order bookings.
Skanska reported Q2 earnings per share of SEK 4.27, up from SEK 3.69 a year earlier, as return on equity climbed to 10.8% from 9.5%. Revenue reached SEK 44.6 billion, flat year-over-year but up 1% adjusted for currency effects.
The company’s construction order bookings surged 23% quarter-over-quarter to SEK 68.0 billion, adjusted for currency, compared to SEK 56.7 billion in the prior quarter. Return on capital employed in investment properties rose to 4.8% from 3.9%.
Shares showed limited movement in early trading as investors digested the mixed revenue performance against stronger profitability metrics.
