Swedish packaging firm Billerud reports a Q2 non-GAAP EPS loss of SEK 0.26 and adjusted EBITDA of SEK 661 million.

Billerud AB reported a non-GAAP earnings per share loss of SEK 0.26 for Q2, missing expectations as revenue declined 4% year-over-year to SEK 9.83 billion. The company’s adjusted EBITDA reached SEK 661 million, with a margin of 7%, reflecting ongoing cost pressures and weaker demand in key markets.

In the prior-year period, Billerud had posted stronger revenue and profitability, though market conditions have since softened. Analysts had anticipated a modest improvement in margins, but the company cited persistent challenges in Europe and mixed performance in North America.

For Q3, Billerud expects solid conditions in North America but remains cautious about overall market strength, signaling potential volatility ahead.
