Hyundai Card has launched Alphabet Card as a standalone brand, a first for South Korea’s credit card industry. The company says the move responds to shifting consumer behavior, where users increasingly seek benefits tailored to specific lifestyles rather than universal perks.

The Alphabet brand originally debuted in 2004 as Korea’s first lifestyle-focused credit card. Hyundai Card’s existing portfolio, including M, X, Z, and ZERO, remains centered on broad, all-merchant benefits. The company will maintain both universal and specialized strategies to address diverse spending patterns.
