Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico reports MXN 6 billion EBITDA as revenue streams offset a 5.6% decline in passenger traffic.
Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (PAC) posted an 8.4% year-over-year increase in second-quarter EBITDA to MXN 6 billion, despite a 5.6% drop in total passenger traffic across its 14 airports. Revenue excluding construction services rose 4.9%, while EBITDA margin expanded 230 basis points to 69.3%, driven by tariff adjustments and growth in directly operated commercial businesses.
The decline in passenger traffic was attributed to Hurricane Melissa’s lingering impact in Jamaica, capacity management by airlines in Mexico, and rising jet fuel costs pressuring airfares. Security concerns and economic conditions also weighed on international leisure demand, particularly in Puerto Vallarta.
CEO Raul Revuelta noted the company’s ability to protect earnings through diversified revenue streams, though traffic recovery is expected to extend into the second half of the year.
