The Industrial Select Sector SPDR Fund returned 17.89% since December 31, 2025, slightly ahead of GE Aerospace’s 16.95% gain.

The Industrial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLI) delivered a 17.89% return from December 31, 2025, to July 10, 2026, marginally outperforming GE Aerospace’s 16.95% gain over the same period. A $10,000 investment in XLI would have grown to approximately $11,789, offering broad industrial exposure without single-stock risk.

GE Aerospace’s one-year return of 43% remains stronger than XLI’s 22%, but the fund’s diversification across 70 holdings mitigates volatility from individual stocks like Boeing. XLI’s 0.08% expense ratio provides a cost-effective way to capture the industrial sector’s growth.

The fund’s performance highlights the benefits of thematic investing without the need to predict individual winners, reducing concentration risk while maintaining exposure to the aerospace and industrial supercycle.
