Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. surpasses its revenue guidance as June sales surge 68% year-over-year.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. posted record June revenue of NT$442.68 billion, up 67.9% year-over-year and 6.2% month-over-month. The surge lifted second-quarter revenue to NT$1.27 trillion, or $39.6 billion, exceeding the company’s April guidance range of $39 billion to $40.2 billion.
The 36% annual increase in Q2 revenue reflects strong demand for AI chips, with TSMC’s 73% share of the global pure-foundry market as of Q1 2026. Analysts noted the June revenue rise defies seasonal trends, driven by tight AI chip supply and full capacity for its N3 process.
TSMC’s Taipei-listed shares closed 1% higher ahead of the release, which was delayed by Typhoon Bavi. The company will provide further outlook in its Thursday earnings report.
