Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR) reported a $172.5 million adjusted EBITDA loss for the first quarter of 2026, with revenue totaling only $1.6 million. The company anticipates further losses of $170 million to $200 million in Q2 as it advances toward FAA certification and 2026 commercial operations.

Despite progress in manufacturing and certification, Archer’s cash burn remains elevated. Wall Street expects the company to consume $600 million this year and $740 million in 2027 before potential free cash flow positivity later in the decade. The firm ended Q1 with $1.8 billion in liquidity, one of the strongest balance sheets in the eVTOL sector.

Investor patience is thinning as commercialization costs and timelines extend beyond initial expectations. Regulatory milestones remain critical for Archer’s path to profitability.
