FTAI Aviation (NASDAQ:FTAI) and Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) announced a collaboration to provide Boeing 737-800 freighter solutions for global airlines. The partnership combines FTAI’s engine maintenance capabilities with AEI’s cargo conversion leadership to reduce operating costs and expand freighter capacity.
The initiative targets the growing demand for narrowbody freighters, leveraging FTAI’s CFM56 engine platform to supply lower-cycle engines optimized for cargo operations. AEI’s Supplemental Type Certificates and modification history will support long-term reliability for airlines.
FTAI specializes in aviation leasing and aftermarket engine support, focusing on CFM56 and V2500 engines. The collaboration seeks to address market constraints by integrating sustainable engine solutions with conversion expertise.
