The US Dollar declined against the Swiss Franc on Thursday, with USD/CHF dropping to near 0.8050 after failing to hold above 0.8100. The retreat follows Wednesday’s Federal Reserve minutes, which left markets unimpressed by the central bank’s inflation-fighting resolve, triggering broad Dollar selling.

The Dollar Index (DXY) slipped below 101.00, testing weekly lows, while the Swiss Franc found modest support. Geopolitical risks, including reciprocal US-Iran attacks and a 10% surge in oil prices, failed to bolster the safe-haven Dollar as investors bet on renewed negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

Technical indicators signal a bearish correction, with the pair printing a lower high at 0.8108. Momentum tools, including the RSI and MACD, suggest weakening upside pressure, reinforcing the downside bias from June’s highs.
