U.S. liquefied natural gas exporter Venture Global reports higher fees amid reduced Middle East supply and spot market demand.
Venture Global’s liquefaction fees jumped 69% to $6.45 per million British thermal units in the second quarter, up from $3.82 in the prior quarter. The increase follows disruptions in Middle East LNG flows due to regional conflicts, boosting spot market prices.
The company sold 466.4 trillion thermal units in the quarter, down from 480.8 trillion in Q1. Venture Global’s reliance on the spot market contrasts with other U.S. exporters, which often secure long-term contracts.
No immediate market reaction was disclosed, but the fee surge highlights tightening global LNG supply dynamics.
