The Federal Reserve will release minutes from its June 16-17 meeting Wednesday, offering insight into internal debates over interest rates. Policymakers unanimously left the benchmark rate unchanged at 3.50%-3.75%, but forecasts showed a shift away from projected cuts, with some officials now favoring at least one hike this year.

Inflation remains at roughly twice the Fed’s 2% target, while the labor market has stabilized after weakening last year. Analysts are watching whether new Chair Kevin Warsh will shorten the minutes, as he did with the post-meeting statement, removing forward guidance and economic descriptions.

The release comes as markets assess whether the Fed will prioritize inflation control or respond to political pressure for lower rates.
