Major indices in Germany, France, and the UK fell over 0.7% amid geopolitical uncertainty and mixed economic data.

European equities declined as renewed Middle East tensions dampened investor sentiment. Germany’s DAX led losses, down 1.17%, while France’s CAC and the UK’s FTSE 100 dropped 0.85% and 0.76%, respectively.

France’s official reserve assets fell to €355.39 billion at the end of June, while Austria’s trade deficit widened to €434.1 billion in April. Sweden’s household spending showed marginal growth, adding to mixed regional economic signals.

The declines reflect broader caution ahead of key economic releases and persistent geopolitical risks.
