Bitcoin and Ethereum rise at open, extending monthly gains amid corporate buying and institutional accumulation.

Bitcoin opened at $63,997.17 on July 7, up 0.7% from the prior session, before trimming gains to $63,118.73 by 7:39 a.m. ET. Ethereum followed, starting at $1,797.77, a 0.8% increase, and settling at $1,775.76 in early trading.

Both assets posted their strongest monthly gains since May, reversing a challenging 2026. Analysts attribute resilience to corporate treasury buying, offsetting $5.5 billion in spot ETF outflows this year. Bernstein noted inflows remain positive due to institutional participation.

Ethereum saw additional support as Bitmine added 74 million ETH, nearing Tom Lee’s target of holding 5% of total supply. The move underscores persistent accumulation despite broader market volatility.
