The Digital Chamber filed an amicus brief urging dismissal of a New York lawsuit seeking ownership of 39,069 Bitcoin wallets. The group, representing over 250 digital asset firms, contends plaintiffs lack control without private keys.

Activity in dormant wallets has surged, with 31 addresses moving 17,527 BTC in June, up from five addresses transferring 4,834 BTC in February. One wallet, inactive since 2011, transferred 30 BTC ($1.88 million) on Saturday.

A pseudonymous defendant also filed a motion to dismiss, claiming control of one of the wallets. The lawsuit’s outcome remains uncertain as legal and technical hurdles persist.
