Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd (TSX-V:GMG, OTCQX:GMGMF) has completed construction and started up its Generation 2.0 Graphene Manufacturing Technology Plant, a new production facility designed to increase the company’s graphene manufacturing capacity.
The company said the plant was brought online on schedule before the end of June 2026
Once the remaining work is completed and the facility is fully optimized, the plant is expected to produce up to 10 tonnes of graphene annually. GMG said the total capital cost for the project is expected to be at or below its estimated budget of AU$2.3 million by the time the project is completed at the end of 2026. The company added that project costs remain under budget so far.
According to GMG, work scheduled for completion by the end of September includes optimizing graphene quality, production volumes and graphene powder packaging. By the end of December, the company expects to complete installation of a self-power generation system. The company said the Gen 2.0 Plant is expected to operate largely using its own energy generation system, which is planned to combine renewable energy sources, energy storage and hydrogen-enriched natural gas supplied through tail-gas power generation.
