Nasdaq-100 futures climb 1.1% ahead of Fed minutes, with semiconductors rebounding after two weeks of losses.
US stock futures advanced early Tuesday, led by a rebound in technology and semiconductor shares. Nasdaq-100 contracts rose 1.1%, while S&P 500 futures added 0.4%, and Dow futures neared the 53,000 mark after a three-day holiday break.
The tech sector recovered after a rough stretch, with chipmakers like Western Digital and Teradyne posting gains of 3% and 4%, respectively. The VanEck Semiconductor ETF had fallen 3.2% last week, marking its second consecutive weekly decline, but broader market strength in financials, healthcare, and industrials offset the weakness.
Last week, the Nasdaq Composite gained 2.1%, while the S&P 500 rose 1.8% to close at 7,483.24. Investors are now focused on Wednesday’s release of Federal Reserve minutes, which may offer clues on monetary policy direction.
