The UK fashion retailer partners with Fermat to integrate AI-driven design capabilities, aiming to cut development time and physical sampling costs.
New Look will deploy Fermat’s AI-powered platform to streamline product development, enabling virtual prototyping and rapid design iterations. The move targets faster response to consumer trends and reduced reliance on physical samples, improving efficiency and sustainability.
The retailer’s design teams will use AI tools to trial multiple versions and styling options, freeing time for creative tasks. Last year, New Look began embedding data and digital technologies across its buying and design divisions to enhance trend analysis and market delivery.
New Look’s creative director Anica Wislawski said the technology allows designers to explore more ideas and refine products before customer release. The initiative aligns with broader industry shifts toward AI-driven innovation in fashion retail.
