QQQ returns 19.9% in the first half of the year
The Invesco QQQ ETF has seen a 19.9% return in the first half of the year, more than doubling the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF’s 9.5% return.
The QQQ’s strong performance can be attributed to its tech-sector concentration, with roughly 67% of its assets invested in the sector.
The Vanguard S&P 500 ETF, although more diversified, still has nearly 40% dedicated to tech and roughly the same committed to the top 10 holdings, making both vulnerable to a reversal of the AI trade.
