The accounts also cover foreign currency deposits at central banks and the Bank for International Settlements, alongside securities issued by foreign governments. Deposits held at agents for treasury funds and Japanese government securities operations are reserved separately. Miscellaneous liabilities and net accumulated profits are also disclosed.
The release provides transparency on the central bank’s balance sheet composition, including foreign currency loans and equity investments in real estate corporations.
