Steve Cirulis succeeds Ken Cook as CFO and CSO
The Wendy’s Company has appointed Steve Cirulis as its new chief financial officer and chief strategy officer. He will report to Bob Wright, the company’s president and CEO.
Cirulis previously held the dual titles of CFO and CSO at Potbelly Sandwich Works, where he worked alongside Wright. During their tenure, Potbelly saw its share price rise by more than 500% and posted double-digit gains in average unit volumes.
Cirulis has nearly three decades of experience in finance and strategy posts at large restaurant and retail operators, including Panera Bread, McDonald’s, and Gap. He will be part of the company’s senior leadership team and oversee the finance function, succeeding Ken Cook who will stay on in an advisory role until next month.
