US President Donald Trump stated Iran has agreed to the highest level of nuclear inspections extending far into the future. He linked the concession to the decision to keep the Hormuz Strait open without a naval blockade, citing it as a condition for further negotiations.

Trump’s comments follow a period of heightened geopolitical tensions, though no formal agreement or official Iranian statement has been released. Prior negotiations had stalled over inspection protocols and sanctions relief.

The USD Index showed no immediate reaction, trading at 101.25, up 0.25% on the day and at its highest level since May 2025.
