Crypto payments company MoonPay has acquired Entendre, an AI-based accounting software developer, to strengthen its back-office financial processes. The transaction adds Entendre’s automation tools for reconciliation, treasury management, and period-end closing, targeting firms with high transaction volumes and multiple legal entities.
Entendre’s clients include Polygon Labs, Thirdweb, and Brale, with users typically managing over 30 financial accounts, 25,000 monthly transactions, and operations across at least three legal entities. The software assigns accounting tasks to AI models based on suitability, integrating with platforms like NetSuite and QuickBooks.
Entendre founder Kareem Khattab will join MoonPay as vice president of Applied AI, citing the acquisition as a step to accelerate back-office workflows in the stablecoin and AI economy.
