Deal adds filtration and dewatering systems to Sandvik’s Rock Processing unit, targeting productivity gains in downstream mining.
Sandvik will acquire Italy-based Diemme Filtration, a provider of filtration and dewatering systems for the mining sector. The deal creates a new Filtration division within Sandvik’s Rock Processing business, marking the company’s entry into the segment. Diemme’s technologies focus on solid-liquid separation, water recovery, and tailings management, areas critical to downstream mining operations.
Diemme Filtration employs 200 people and serves global customers in copper, gold, nickel, and battery materials mining. The company’s portfolio includes engineered filtration systems, aftermarket services, and predictive maintenance software. Sandvik expects the acquisition to generate returns in line with its cost of capital within three years and boost earnings per share, excluding purchase price allocation effects.
The transaction broadens Sandvik’s offerings along the mining value chain, integrating digital capabilities with existing Rock Processing services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
