Adura has submitted additional details to the UK Offshore Petroleum Regulator for Environment and Decommissioning (OPRED) for its Jackdaw and Rosebank oil and gas projects. The move follows a January 2025 court ruling that invalidated the UK government’s prior approvals, citing legal challenges from environmental groups.

The projects, with over £3bn invested to date, are expected to generate £28.7bn in gross value added over their lifespans. Adura forecasts tax revenues of £1.4bn by the end of the current parliament and £3.8bn by 2034, with peak annual tax contributions exceeding £720m.

Employment projections include 3,500 jobs at peak construction and 880 sustained roles during production, alongside 125 apprenticeships across the UK.
