Omanhash will consolidate 10 EH/s of hashrate as the sole official pool under the country’s crypto mining regulations.
Oman launched Omanhash, a national Bitcoin mining pool, to regulate licensed crypto miners. The pool, created by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and Frontier Technologies, will be the only official platform for licensed mining companies, requiring all to connect to it.
The initiative follows over $700 million in investments in mining and data-center infrastructure since 2022. Omanhash aims to consolidate approximately 10 exahashes per second (EH/s) of hashrate in its initial phase, centralizing the country’s mining operations under regulatory oversight.
