NYSE and Nasdaq will halt trading Friday in observance of Juneteenth, with bond and commodities markets also shut.

U.S. stock markets, including the NYSE and Nasdaq, will close Friday to observe Juneteenth, following the adoption of the holiday in 2022. Trading will be suspended across equities, bonds, and commodities, including NYMEX crude oil and COMEX gold.

The closure marks the second year Juneteenth has been recognized as a federal and market holiday. Last year’s observance saw no trading activity, with markets reopening the following Monday. The U.S. bond market and metals exchanges will also remain closed.

No immediate market reaction is expected, as the closure was pre-announced and aligns with prior holiday schedules.
