Michael Burry, known for predicting the 2008 housing crash, has expressed skepticism about SpaceX’s $3 trillion market valuation. The investor examined put options to bet against the company but ultimately decided against it.

SpaceX’s stock debuted at $190-$200 per share on June 12. Burry noted put options with a $100 strike price expiring in December 2028 traded at $25, while shorter-dated contracts were priced at $13 and $6.75. He suggested SpaceX stock could settle in the mid-$200s.

Despite his doubts, Burry declined to take a position, citing the risks involved. His comments highlight growing scrutiny of SpaceX’s valuation amid its public market entry.
